Brief Description
Polished cricket ball with an engraved brass shield mounted onto it. Inscription reads, "FOURTH TEST MATCH / AUSTRALIA v WEST INDIES / 13th Feb. 1931. / H. IRONMONGER. / 7 WIks for 23 runs". The 4th Test played at the MCG was over within two days, from the 13th-14th February 1931. This outstanding bowling achievement by Ironmonger was only his 1st innings bowling figures. Ironmonger's 2nd innings bowling figures were an admirable 4/56.
