From page 72 of the album, a black and white photograph of a river and what seems to be a vessel about to enter a lock chamber. Three or four men are working at opening the gate, while three gentlemen and two women wait at the side. The river is set amongst thick woods; location unidentified. Part of a series of photographs which were probably taken on the same day.
