Brief Description
From page 15 of the album, a sepia, rectangular, bust-portrait studio-photograph of an unidentified man. The man is seated at a wooden table with an open book in front of him and is resting his right hand against his face. The photograph is mounted on a cream-coloured presentation board, at the bottom of which is debossed the photographer's studio name and address: A.V.G. TAYLOR, 63. PRINCES STREET, EDINBURGH. The subject has written a short letter on the back of the board: TO FRANK LAVER, A MEMENTO OF THE TOAST OF "THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM", AT THE AUSTRALASIAN CLUB DINNER, JULY (18TH?) 1905. YOURS VERY (...?), (FRANK LEIGHTON?) M.D., VICE-PRESIDENT, ED. (AUST.?) CLUB.
