From page 14 of the album, a black and white, oval-shaped, three-quarter-length studio-photograph of an unidentified woman dressed in black with large hat, sitting in a chair with an open book to her right. The photograph is mounted on a cream-coloured presentation board, of which all four edges have been cut down in size. The subject has signed the bottom of he photograph YOURS VERY SINCERELY, (? LO. M. ?) NEWLAND. The photographer's studio mark is debossed at bottom right of the board, only the name is decipherable: BOLLAND.
