Brief Description
Time capsule, made from a tubular piece of bronze metal with screw lid. The time capsule features a series of inscriptions which read, "Melbourne Cricket Club / Sept 9 1983 / Foundation stone moved from original position / on front of Pavilion to side of Pavilion / Graham Hill / Maint Manager / 9 Sept 1983". This time capsule replaced the original 1928 Members Pavilion time capsule which was opened in 1983. This time capsule was removed from the Members Pavilion Building in 2003, just prior to demolition.
