Object Detail

Brief Description
Light brown-coloured silk scorecard with printed blue ink on the front side. Title at the top reads, "VICTORIAN CRICKET ASSOCIATION / WORLD'S RECORD SCORE IN FIRST CLASS MATCH". The object was originally placed within the 1928 Members Pavilion Building time capsule. The time capsule was opened in 1983 and the silk scorecard was sighted. It was then placed within the new 1983 time capsule and then sealed. This time capsule was re-opened again in 2003 just prior to the demolition of the Members Pavilion Building at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
