Brief Description
Part of the Torres Strait Islander costume from the opening ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympic game. Collar consists of a band made of woven straw-like material, brown and blue, to which has been attached lengths of more straw-like material, painted blue, to make a grass collar. It closes with a rope attached to either side of the belt, that ties around the neck.
