Black and white photograph (from pg 25 of album), circa 1909. Depicts festivities on Manly Beach, Sydney. Group dressed as Islanders, with skin painted dark and wearing grass skirts, gathered on the beach. One is holding a flag inscribed M S C. Crowds of spectators occupy the beach and hill in the background.
