Brief Description
Cream coloured horse hide baseball, with black and gold thread making curved seams. The makers mark reads HORSE HIDE COVER/SPALDING/NO.1 on back, and the front features a handwritten signature in ink which perhaps reads J.MCGEAN 1904 JJ CULLIN..[?]. The ball was used in an interstate baseball match in 1904. Frank Laver was also an Intercolonial/interstate baseball player.
