Brief Description
Red leather commemorative cricket ball with circular silver shield attached to front. The text on the shield reads EAST MELB CC / WON BY F.LAVER / BEST / BOWLING AVERAGE / IST XI / SATURDAY MATCHES 1890-1891. There are six parallel cotton seams running around the ball, and the makers mark on the back is for BOYLE AND SCOTT/MELBOURNE, printed around the text 5 1/2 OZ .
