Brief Description
Dark tan leather commemorative cricket ball with circular silver shield attached to front. The text on the shield reads, "EAST MELBOURNE / CC / F.LAVER / BEST / BOWLING AVERAGE / ALL MATCHES / 1889-1890". There are six parallel cotton seams running around the ball, and the makers mark on the back is for BOYLE AND SCOTT/MELBOURNE, with an image of a kangaroo, lion and the Little Pavilion between them.
