Brief Description
Large ceramic handpainted jug. Off-white ceramic with coloured handle shaped like a kangaroo. Jug features two multicoloured scenes of Captain Cook's landing at Botany Bay. Inscribed below the lip in gold is "F.A. Ward" followed by the words to the Australian National Anthem titled ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR. Also in gold " Presented to the members of the Australian Touring Team by A. Ross Fielding on the occasion of the First Test Match at Nottingham, June 10-14, 1938. Underneath the jug are mechanisms that enable it to play a musical tune. Also stamped "Crown Devon / Fieldings / Made in England'.
