Alan Ruthven at front left of photo. It looks to be at the MCG. There is an Indigenous player at the centre of pic. The only Indigenous player who played for Fitzroy in the same era as Ruthven was Shadrach James. Not sure if it’s him but he only played 1940 and 41.
