Brief Description
Small gold-coloured medallion issued by the Sunday Herald Sun newspaper, to commemorate the career Test average and the total Test runs made by Don Bradman. Obverse features a low-relief image of Bradman's head, wearing a baggy green cap, and legend around outer circle reads, "SIR DON BRADMAN / COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL". Reverse features an image of a cricket bat dividing the inner circle diagonally, with TEST AVG 99.94 and TEST RUND 6996 on either side. Legend around outer circle reads, "SUNDAY HERALD SUN / SALUTE TO THE DON".
