Brief Description
Original (unsigned) watercolour by Robert Ingpen featuring an image of Australian Rules footballer, Edward Goderich "Carji" Greeves (1903-1963). The artist's image number - 45 - and name of the subject and team are handwritten below the design. The image is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the MCG. Greeves played 124 games for the Geelong Football Club. He won the inaugural Brownlow Medal in 1924 and was runner-up in 1925, 1926 and 1928.
