Object Detail
Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Clem Hill (1877-1945), Australian Test cricketer and captain, included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image number - 28 - and subject's name are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. In 2005, Hill was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
