Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Patrick George "Paddy" McShane (1858-1903) - Essendon and Fitzroy footballer, and Victorian and Australian Test cricketer - which is included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image number - 27 - and subject's name and the club 'Fitz[roy]', are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist.
