Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of two images, the Ashes urn and the Sheffield Shield, included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image numbers - 17 and 23 (respectively) are handwritten in ink next to the object names. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid lines and references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artworks which are signed and dated by the artist.
