Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of Australian Test cricketer, John McCarthy Blackham (1854-1932), the 'Prince of Wicketkeepers', included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image number - 16 - and subject's name are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid lines and references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork which is signed and dated by the artist. In 1996, Blackham was an inaugural inductee into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
