Brief Description
Robert Ingpen's original design of an image of three cricketers - George Marshall (1829-1868), John James McKone (1835-1882) and Richard Wardill (1840-1873) - included in a tapestry celebrating 150 years of performances and events on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The artist's original image numbers - 7, 8 & 9 - and subject's names are handwritten below the design. A sheet of tracing paper, with the grid lines and references for the layout of the tapestry, folds over the artwork.
