Brief Description
Thin book, used as part of Melbourne's bid for the 1956 Olympic Games. Hardcover with blue cloth covering, and gold label in centre with discus thrower and text "XVI OLYMPIAD/ 1956". Inside back cover in 'sleeve' typed letter from Australian Prime Minister J.B. Chifley dated 15 February 1949 supporting Australia's bid for the 1956 Olympic Games. Inside front page has F H Pizzey stamp, with address.
