Brief Description
Metal plaque on a wooden mount with hinged stand arm. Stamped text reads, "BRITISH AMATEUR ATHLETICS BOARD / TRIANGULAR / INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS TOURNAMENT / ENGLAND & WALES v SCOTLAND v IRELAND / White City Stadium, London / 5th July 1952 / sponsored by the NEWS CHRONICLE / SPECIAL WOMEN'S INVITATION EVENTS". Winsome Cripps was awarded the plaque for first place in the women's 4x100 metres relay. The plaque is decorated with an emblem featuring the national flowers of the 'triangular' countries.
