Brief Description
Gold gilt medallion presented to Brian Dixon as the Hoover Award by The Department of Sport & Recreation, c.1970-80. Obverse features a map of Australia set against a rippled background. A small triplex opal framed by a star is set into the medal below the map. Text in legend reads "THE HOOVER AWARD / FOR MARKETING". Reverse features 2 world globes above inscription and shaking hands. Inscription reads "DEPARTMENT OF / YOUTH SPORT AND RECREATION -VICTORIA / in conjunction with TQ Consultants Pty./ Ltd. / MAIN DOMESTIC AWARD". Presentation box black stamped inside Stokes (A'Asia) Ltd Melbourne, Established 1856'.
