Brief Description
Black portable typewriter owned by Jack Fingleton, an Australian cricketer, and later journalist. Text on front of typewriter reads, "Imperial / The Good Companion / Made in Leicester, England.". On back is inscription, "MANUFACTURED BY THE IMPERIAL TYPEWRITER CO. LTD. LEICESTER, ENGLAND.". Royal coat-of-arms of King George V features on upper right of typewriter keyboard. Typewriter comes with a black cover, doubling as a carry case.
