The obverse (p.673) has a full-page print of scenes from the first 1896 test match between England and Australia at Lord's. The central image shows a diagonal view of the wicket with W G Grace at the non-striker's end, and the caption "Grace & Abel's partnership" printed below. Four smaller images are in the lower-left and top corners, with the captions "Graham receives his 1st ball", "Eady fails to accept a chance from Abel", "An intruder removed", and "Darling does his best". Below the main illustration is the title "ENGLAND V. THE AUSTRALIANS AT LORDS". On the reverse of the sheet (p.674) are three columns of text with articles about horse racing and angling.
