Brief Description
An illustrated page from the summer 1883 edition of 'The Graphic' magazine. On one side is an engraving with caricatures of Indians playing cricket. Below the image is a caption that reads "HINDOO CRICKETERS - SKETCHES AT HOG ISLAND, BOMBAY HARBOUR / N.B. - The Maharatta Hindoos take very kindly to Cricket, especially the tip-and-run game. They caught the taste from watching the Europeans at play". On the reverse are several unrelated advertisements. The page is mounted behind cream-coloured card, with a vendor's sticker affixed to the back.
