Brief Description
Images of the Fourth Ashes Test at Old Trafford, 1905, printed in the Illustrated London News. The page has been cropped from the magazine and mounted behind cream-coloured card. The illustrations show various scenes from the test match, portraying the cricketers in a slightly caricatured style, with captions next to each image. The images are contained in a thin black line border, below which is printed the title, "TEST NUMBER FOUR: THE OPENING DAY OF THE GREAT CRICKET MATCH AT MANCHESTER". On the reverse are three columns of text with unrelated articles. Reg number inscribed bottom left reverse and year of creation bottom right reverse. reverse also has affixed label from Brighton antique prints and maps, advising it is authentic.
