Brief Description
Red 'Preston Star' bicycle, c. 1927. Built by Rupert Bates and Bob Metcalf for Tom Gascoyne Junior. Handlebars swing up and forwards. It has toe-clips and a thin leather saddle. Built at High Street, Preston workshop.

I am the great grandson of Thomas Jepson Gascoyne and have medals of the family riding these bikes and fond memories of having them around my grandfathers workshop.
