Brief Description
Black and white, sepia toned photograph showing the finishing line of the Warrnambool - Melbourne Cycle Race with two cyclists approaching the finishing line. Spectators line the course. Inscription on banner at top, "FINISH / DUNLOP CUP / WARRNAMBOOL - MELBOURNE 165 MILES"; reverse, stamped, blue and red, "BROOKS T. / CYCLING / 17 OCT 1937"; printed portion from newspaper, "FINISH OF THE WARRNAMBOOL - MELBOURNE CYCLE RACE on the / Ballarat Road at Albion on Saturday. T. Brook, of Tasmania, defeated H. Munro, of Coburg, by two lengths". Inscribed verso 'Edna Norris'.
