Object Detail

Brief Description
Black and white photograph, mounted on green/blue card. 21 men are arranged into 3 rows, seated and standing. 20 men wear wide brimmed hats, dark pants and striped blazers with the MCC logo on the breast pocket. 19 of them appear to be wearing some type of neck accessory. The 21st man is wearing a 3 piece suit with a dark hat and tie. Both of his hands are resting on a cane that is obscured. The photograph is taken in front of a brick house that has a veranda and a clock on the roof that reads 9:15. Half of a bench is visible on the left side of the photograph and there are 4 large dark balls and 1 smaller white ball positioned in front of the men seated on the ground. Beneath the lower right corner of the photograph, printed on the mount, is black text that reads "Beaumont / Maritime Chambers / 135 SWANSTON ST. / MELBOURNE". There is handwritten grey pencil text on the reverse.
