Crowds are the in the stand to the left and the commentary box and loud speakers in the background. Cyclists are gathering in the centre of the track. The background shows the vacant hills around the track which displays billboards for various companies. Inscription on billboards, "EVANS & BALFOUR Best for Cycles and all Sports"; "THE AGE".
