Brief Description
Sepia photograph, on cream mount. 12 men are arranged formally in 2 rows. 11 of them are wearing suits, waist coats and either a tie or bow tie. All wear hats. Resting on the feet and against the legs of the man sitting the middle of the 1st row is a circular sign that reads "MCC PREMIERS / 1899". They are posing in front of the wall of a brick building. The mount has the names of the players printed underneath the photograph. Text reads in part "M. C. C. SKITTLE TEAM / J. HEATHERSHAW H. McDERMOTT C. PHELAN G. E. LEWIS...."
