Brief Description
Black and white photograph featuring glass goblet with square plinth base. Engraved cricket scene on surface. Players dressed in long trousers, braces, shirts and hats. Number of onlookers seated in rows close to backdrop of buildings and central pennant shaped flag. Depicts Lords Cricket Ground in 1837 and commemorates the Grand Jubilee Match between the North and South of England. Writing on reverse reads, "MCC268"and "4C". It also includes photographers stamp, "Wallace Heaton Ltd. / 127 New Bond Street / London / W1 / Negative no.MCC268".
