Brief Description
Photographic reproduction of a nineteenth-century engraving. The image shows a frozen landscape with a ship in the foreground (left) and background, and heavily-clad figures playing cricket. On the reverse is text written in blue ink, "Rear Admiral Sir William E. Parry / Journal of a second voyage for the discovery of a north-west passage... pubd. John Murray, 1824. Engraved front. by Edward Finden after a drawing by Captain Lyon RN". A "Marylebone Cricket Club" stamp is also on the back. Writing on reverse reads "MCC214" and also "6B".
