Brief Description
Unused ticket, printed in purple and tan ink, for the Football-Soccer and Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games. The front features the seat number, date, time of the event, and the Olympic rings and torch logo. The inscription reads, in part, MAIN STADIUM / MELBOURNE CRICKET GROUND / XVI OLYMPIAD, MELBOURNE / NOVEMBER 22-DECEMBER 8. 1956. Printed on the reverse in black ink are the conditions of sale and a map of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
