Brief Description
Cricket bat with sealed, spliced blade and black insulation tape wrapped around the handle. A gold block inscription on the reverse of the blade reads WHROU C.C. / PRESENTED TO / H. CHRISTIAN / FOR BEST BATTING AVERAGE / 2ND ELEVEN / SEASON 1884-85. The COBBETT maker's mark has been stamped onto the front of the blade, near the shoulder, with the MELBOURNE SPORTS DEPOT mark below.
