Brief Description
Cricket bat with sealed, spliced blade and twine-bound, rubber covered handle. Two strips of adhesive tape are wrapped around the lower part of the blade, near the toe. Handwritten inscription in blue ink on the front reads, "TO M.C.C. / M.J. KHAN", with Khan's name printed on the reverse right shoulder. The maker's mark, St Peter's, is printed, in blue and black, onto a clear transfer and adhered to the back. Stamped onto the front left and right shoulder is the inscription MADE IN ENGLAND. Cricket bat was used by Majid Khan in a Test match against New Zealand in Karachi, starting on 30 October 1976. Khan scored a century before lunch on the first day.
