The first page of a diary written by Charles Peryman, recording an 1896 trip by the MCC to New South Wales and Queensland. The paper has faint lines and is written in black ink. The first entries describe leaving Melbourne on March 31st, and arriving the next day at Sydney. Having cruised the harbour, played a cricket match and had a 'Champagne Supper', the group departed for Ipswich, Queensland on Friday 3rd April.
