Brief Description
Silver cup trophy with two side arms which are formed by bats resting on decorative shelves and leaning against the bowl, with balls underneath. The bowl is decorated with an engraved foliage design and text reading "MARYBOROUGH DISTRICT / CRICKET CLUB / The GIFT of / J.C. Simson Esq. / PRESIDENT / for the best / BOWLING AVERAGE / AWARDED TO / Richard Earl / SEASON / 1876-7." The stem is made of three sets of stumps arranged in a triangle, sitting on a tiered circular base with engravings and attached balls.
