Brief Description
Unused 50c postage stamp. Text on the stamp reads in part "Barbados / 50c / BELT BUCKLE CIRCA 1780 / HERMAN GRIFFITH". The stamp has a cricket bat sitting horizontally across three wicket stumps with a red cricket ball in the lower left corner. There are two photos. The left one is of a metal belt buckle on a light grey backing and the right is a black and white, full profile, head and shoulder image of Herman Griffith in a cricket uniform cap, shirt and blazer.
