Brief Description
White ceramic saucer from the Royal Doulton "Black Cricketers" series. A green foliage border surrounds the rim of the saucer, inside of which is featured a caricature of a boy in a wide brim hat, red striped shirt, long white jacket and broken blue shoes, resting his left hand against the handle of a cricket bat, with the inscription beneath "The Boss". Believed to have been made pre-1940. The Royal Doulton crest is printed on the reverse., Writing on reverse reads "Royal Doulton England/Copyright"and "E4336N".
