Brief Description
White ceramic saucer from the Royal Doulton "Black Cricketers" series. A green foliage border surrounds the rim, inside of which is featured a caricature of a boy in a wide brim hat, long white jacket and red top, holding a cricket bat in his left hand and with his right hand in his pocket. An inscription painted beneath reads "The Boss". Believed to have been made pre-1940. The Royal Doulton crest is printed on the reverse., Writing on reverse reads "Royal Doulton England/Copyright"and "E4336I".
