Brief Description
White ceramic saucer from the Royal Doulton "Black Cricketers" series. A green foliage border surrounds the rim of the plate, inside of which is featured a caricature of a boy in a wide brim hat, red shirt, blue pants and shoes, and wearing pads. He is poised in front of the wicket, ready to strike. An inscription painted beneath reads "Good for fifty". Believed to have been made pre-1940. The Royal Doulton crest is printed on the reverse., Writing on reverse reads, "Royal Doulton England / Copyright"; and "E4336E".
