Brief Description
Cricket bat, dated circa 1961, with sealed, spliced blade. The handle is covered with black rubber grip that has been reinforced at the base with black adhesive tape. Inscription on the front of the blade reads, in part, PETER BURGE / AUTOGRAPH / THE ARISTOCRAT. Featured on the rear are the signatures of a number of cricketers prominent during the 1930's, 40's and 50's, with the remains of a round red, black and yellow label on the splice. The maker's mark DUNLOP-CROCKETT is imprinted on the front.
