Brief Description
Full length, 3/4 profile colour picture of a man standing, leaning on a cricket bat with his left hand and his right thumb in his black waistcoat pocket. His left leg is crossed over his right. He wears a black top hat, bow tie, coat and shoes and brown pants. There is an object in his coat's right breast pocket. Text, centre below the image, reads "Mr. JAMES HENRY DARK. / Proprietor of Lords Cricket Ground:" and below that 'London, Published by John Corbet Anderson, 40 Church Road de Beauvoir Square Kingsland March 1st 1852/and by F. Lillywhite 10 Princes Terrace, Caledonian Road, Islington' . Immediately below the image l.l., is printed "Sketches at Lords No. 1"., and l.r. printed 'John C. Anderson del et lith'.
