Brief Description
Drawing, black ink on off- white paper, with some pencil markings and smudges showing through. Entitled "Drawing ever Closer", it has 5 separate panels; the upper shows a Roman soldier handing an 'Imperial Penny Postage' envelope to a 'Colonies' man, the three middle ones are entitled "Good/ for the Circulation", "THE/ IDOL OF THE HOUR", and "Phew!", and the lower cartoon is entitled "Watching/ the/ Eclipse". Housed in a hinged windowmount, using archival tape. Handwritten in pencil verso "P.H. Fearn,/ 3 Carlton Cottages, / Bushey."
