Brief Description
Document, black ink border on discoloured paper, with faint brown handwritten ink in centre. Printed border on the page shows boys playing at several sports, with the top image showing six boys playing cricket. Title reads, "SCHOOL BOYS RECREATIONS". Handwritten text in the centre has as its first line, "True Religion consists of three things reasonable go/ :vernment of ourselves...". Signed, "John Roberts Dec. 18th 1789". [possible this date is 1759]. Centre text under image, "Published 12 Nov.r 1788 by Robr. Sayer, 53 Fleet Street". Originally framed in black and gold painted wooden frame.
