Brief Description
Black and white, sepia toned photograph featuring the 1928 Australian Tour de France team on the sands of Olonne. Ernest Bainbridge, Hubert Opperman (seated in the middle), Harry Watson and Percy Osborne are sitting on a boat frame, one is holding an oar, another is holding his shoes. A man behind has his hand on one member's shoulder. An official behind with a bow tie, is shielding his face from the sun. Inscription, below, printed "Le Tour de France. - Les Australiens aux Sable d'Olonne. Assis au milieu. OPPERMAN."
