Brief Description
Black and white photograph depicting members of the 1928 Australian Tour de France team comprised of Hubert Opperman, Ernest Bainbridge, Percy Osborne and Harry Watson. Three team members are standing or leaning on their cycles with officials in a French street and a throng of spectators (local people) are in the background. Inscription on shop window at left rear "Specialtie de Beaujolais"; handwritten on reverse, ink, "29870 / 16 Etage"; lower edge, handwritten, ink, "Les Australiens vont partir"
