Brief Description
Black and white photograph featuring crowds of onlookers during of the Tour de France in 1928. The crowd gather in the streets of a town with a Tour De France Race Contrôle sign on a shop awning in the background. A man at left stands on a raised platform or the roof of a vehicle. Beside him is a stack of bicycles. Many of the men in the crowd are wearing straw boater hats. Photographer's stamp and French handwriting in pencil on reverse.
